The same information can be found across multiple systems in a business.
Your HR system overlaps employee compensation data with your accounting system which overlaps customer billing data with your CRM etc.
Sometimes there will be a data clash. One system says one thing and another says another.
Make sure you’re very clear on what the root source of the data is. Very often it’s a contract.
If one day you find that someone entered the wrong data into your CRM or accounting system, the only thing that matters is what the contract says.
